Important events during the year 2003-2004
| June 17,2003 |
| The National Trust of the government of India is appointing the guardians for the children studying in this school. A meeting was held at Tanjore in the presence of the District Collector and the District Rehabilitation Officer and other officials to discuss regarding this. The Principal and the Correspondent of the school, along with the parents of the students participated in the meeting and acquired enough information about the appointment of guardian for the students. |
| June 27, 2003 |
| The Principal of the school completed a weeks training held at the Holy Cross College, Trichy. |
| July 15, 2003 |
| In the presence of the District Collector and other officials a meeting was held at Tanjore to elaborate the various activities and benefits provided by the National Trust of the government of India.
The Principal and some teachers from the school participated in it and gained a lot of information about the services rendered by the Trust for the welfare of the handicapped.

| The District Rehabilitation Officer and the Employment officer for the handicapped from Tanjore visited and inspected the school.

| The President and members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kumbakonam donated a swing to the school. |
| Sep 3, 2003 |
| The students and their parents were taken on an excursion to Pondicherry. All the teachers of the school and some members of the Ishwar society also accompanied them and they met all the expenses. |

| The office bearers of the ISHWAR society visited the school and distributed sweets to the students on the 10th anniversary of the school. |

| The first evaluation for the students begins for 2003-2004. |

| In the presence of the District Rehabilitation Officer and the parents, a group discussion was held regarding a Pre-Vocational Training to the students. |

| The students and teachers participated in the World Handicapped day celebrations at Tanjore. The students conducted some cultural programmes and won many awards. |

| The second quarterly evaluation for the students starts. |

| His Holiness Sri Dayananda Saraswathi Swamigal visited the school and blessed the children. He appreciated the services done by the ISHWAR society. |

| Prof. Geetha from the Holy Cross College, Trichy was appointed as a teacher for giving Speech Theraphy to the students. |

| A meeting of the teachers and parents was held in the presence of the District rehabilitation officer to discuss and implement the formation of the Self Help groups, Self Employment of the handicapped and about the bank loan schemes available for this purpose. |

| The 55th Republic Day of India was celebrated. The District Governor of the Lions Club hoisted the national flag and distributed sweets to the students. |

| The Guardians were appointed for the students by the District Collecter and a Guardian Certificate was distributed to the parents. |
Christmas day, Independence day, Children’s day and Deepavali festivals were celebrated in the school and sweets were distributed to the children.

| June 5, 2002 |
| The School reopened after summer vacation and nine new children were admitted. The total strength of the school becomes 52 |
| June 10, 2002 |
| The new building for the school in an area of 1.5 acres was opened in the Chennai Salai, Kumbakonam. The entire building was constructed and donated to the Ishwar society by Athmashanthi Charitable Trust, Kumbakonam. The chief guest of the opening day function was the Past District Governor of the Lions club Mr.Syed Ahamed. The other participants were Sri G.R. Moopanar, Sri R.Kamaraj, M.P., and Sri S.Palani Manickam, M.P. This new spacious building accomadates the Pre-school, Pre-primary, Primary, Junior A, Junior B, Senior A and Senior B class rooms. |

| The school students participated in the sports events and drawing competition held at Arivalayam, Trichy and won prizes. |
| July 19, 2002 |
| The Rotary Club of Kumbakonam Central donated a school bus. The bus was provided with the Matching Grant received from the Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International. |

| The teachers parents meeting was held in the presence of the District Rehabilitation Officer Mrs. Shyamala and the various benefits of the National Trust, New Delhi were explained to the parents. |

| The 8th school day celebration and the inauguration of the school for the Deaf was presided over by Mr.Raghu, the Commissioner of Income-tax, Trichy circle. |

| The world Handicapped day was celebrated in the school premises. It was organized jointly by the Rotary Club of Kumbakonam Central and the Indian Medical Association(IMA) branch of Kumbakonam. Leading doctors in the town like Dr. Amburose, MBBS, DCH, Dr.G.Sambasivan MD, Dr.S.Manjula MD, DGO, and Dr.S. Lakshminarayanan, MD, DCH, gave very good lectures to the students and parents. |
